HANDCRAFTED

Silver Forest jewelry is enchanting, playful, filled with color, texture and movement. We believe that the difference is in the details. Our jewelry is made using quality materials and are lovingly handcrafted in Southern Vermont.

Our earwires are made from surgical steel or surgical steel with an 18k gold overlay. They’re also nickel-free, so you can shop with confidence, especially if you have metal sensitivities.

We use genuine semi-precious stones, along with glass beads, natural materials, and crystal accents to add that extra touch to our jewelry.

Our metals are raw brass or copper, and each piece is shaped and textured by hand. We use tons of different textures and over 1,000 shapes to create unique designs. All of our jewelry is lead- and cadmium-free. For the finishes, our gold-tone pieces are a tarnish-resistant 18k gold over brass, our silver-tone pieces are a tarnish-resistant silver over brass, and our copper finish is a rose gold over brass. Every piece is soldered together, never glued, which gives each one its own slight variation—making it a true piece of wearable art.

We finish our jewelry using three distinct color processes. Because of the different textures on the metal and how each color process interacts with it, you’ll notice slight color variations, making every piece feel unique. The first process is a heat-baked ceramic color finish, which creates depth and long-lasting color. The second is a hand-painted color wash, which has a durable, translucent finish that really shows off the texture of the metal and gives it a silky, sueded look. The third is an epoxy process, which gives the metal a glossy sheen.

“At first I bought these earrings as a gift… but after really looking at them… I know this sounds terrible, I bought another gift and kept these beautiful earrings!”
